Welcome back after your mid-term break. Hope you had a good time and have recharged your batteries.
Today we had planned to start with Chapter 5 in the Context book.
However, we will wait until Friday to do that...
Today I want to start off by getting you to write a couple of sentences about your break (holiday). Try to write something that was unique for you.
After that we will watch a film which was definitely the high point of my holiday...
It is about a young man who dedices to help kids who are HIV positive in a home in India.
Afterwards write a short comment here on the blog about your reactions to the film
It was a touching and interesting film. It made you think and the movie is a good preparation for Uganda and what we are going to see there
ReplyDeleteWhat a touching movie!! I have so much respect for both Rocky and Steven Anna who did the movie, what a journey they have gone through together! It made you think that people have to be more like Rocky, a person who care about others with love, one of my hopes in the future is to help people in vulnerable situations, like for example work as a volunteer or at SOS.
ReplyDeleteIt was a inspiring movie to watch. Seeing how Rocky devoted his life to these children made me think what I am doing with my life.
ReplyDeleteIt was an interesting and a very heartwarming movie. The world needs these kind of people. Also, the guy who made this work did very well for an amateur.
ReplyDeleteI think the movie was really good. It was really touching and inspiring. I think it was good to see the perspective from both Rocky and his friend. How his friend from the beginning was a lite bit skeptical and scared of the idea that the children had aids/HIV and he was scared that he also would get infected, but in the end he understand what Rocky saw in the children and started to love it too. I would really like to work as a volunteer in India with aids/HIV infected children.
ReplyDeleteI thought the film was very beautiful and touching! I almost cried a few times. It was very interesting to follow "Rocky" and his friends during his journey in India, it was really inspiring.
ReplyDeletethis film was very good becouse it took you out on a journey by rocky and steven that showed me their relations to does India Children and also the Life on the indian country side that gave me a clearer Picture of their klimate, people and the environment of india .
ReplyDeleteI really admire the brawness of he(rocky) for example the way he helped that kid from that really hard disease called aids/HIV no mather the risk or fear that he also might get infected .
the journey was really inspiring and intresting .
I think the movie was very inspiring and touching. Something that really was special about the movie was Rocky and the realtion to the children, it was magical. When I saw the film I was inspired to travel and do the same as him.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was really good and emotional, it was really touching and I was very moved by it. It was amazing to see a person give back to those who have it tough, and that the kids saw Rocky as a father, and he saw them as his children. It was really nice to see and I think this film will inspire others to do something like Rocky did.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this film. It was very emotional and touching, it kinda changed my view of the world and the people in it. I almost cried several times during the movie. It was especially inspiring to see how he saw the children as his own, and they saw Rocky as their father.
ReplyDeleteI thought the movie was wonderful. It was very inspiring and amazing. That he enjoyed every minute in his life with all those amazing people around him. Helping people but not expecting anything in return. I was a really touching film with inspiring "actors" and great setting.
